Opportunity
The Georgia State School Psychology program is looking for Ed.S. scholars to begin careers in a high-needs district around Atlanta. This initiative aims to attract, train and keep diverse students in school psychology, especially those from partnered districts. Grant recipients will get training focused on evidence-based, culturally specific mental health services for K-12 students.
Eligibility
Prospective students interested in this opportunity must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Demonstrate coming from a diverse/marginalized background and/or
- Reside within the community served by the partnering districts

Requirements
- Maintain a graduate assistantship with this center.
- Working with schools to enhance multicultural competence, identify equity issues and evidence-based research to improve student outcomes.
- Receive ongoing mentoring from faculty and district-based supervisors.
- Three-year post-graduation commitment to work in high-needs schools

- Year 2: $10,000
- Year 3: $12,500
